About
I'm Albara Wadee, a doctor who builds software and AI for healthcare. I graduated from Kasr Al Ainy in 2025 and I'm in my intern year. A lot of what I've built is already in use, from an AI app that reads handwritten ward sheets to a shift app that more than 2,500 interns book their duties on. Diagnostic AI is what I'm working on next.

AI and software

The AI app Scrybe
Two models read a handwritten admission sheet and check each other's reading. Then Scrybe fills in MRM, the hospital's records system, and leaves the Save button to the doctor.
RotaMate
A shift app supported by AI. Interns book their duties on it while the engine keeps the rota fair, and more than 2,500 people use it.
Internal Medicine records
I designed this records system around AI voice recognition. A doctor says the note out loud in Arabic or English and it fills in the form, which makes data entry about as easy as it gets. The voice part is what I'm building now.
Alumni system
I programmed it with AI coding agents. They worked through a plan task by task, with more than 500 tests checking what they wrote, and the finished app tracks where the faculty's graduates went. A person approves every match.
Lanes
An AI project of mine that builds whole apps by itself and tests them as it goes.
02
Current focus

Right now I'm working on diagnostic support, along with a fair way to test it against doctors. It's at an early stage, and results will go here once I have some.
03
Teaching and leadership

Batch leader, 2020 to 2025
My batch elected me leader every year from 2020 to 2025. I spoke for my classmates to the faculty and negotiated our exam dates. I've also led the last graduation ceremonies.
Internship coordinator
As internship coordinator I rewrote the scheduling rules so every intern can see each allocation that affects them. After that, the arguments about cover mostly stopped.
Ultrasound instructor
I designed the ultrasound courses I teach and wrote all of the material myself. I explain first and demonstrate, then I watch each student practise.
Surgical Skills Lab
I'm also an instructor in the faculty's Surgical Skills Lab.
Future Doctors
In 2020 I started Future Doctors on Telegram, with one channel for each year of the course. Later I coded a bot for it from scratch, and more than 73,000 people have used it. A large share of the study files are mine.
04
Clinical training

Intern since 2025
I started my internship at Cairo University Hospitals in 2025.
Rotations
My rotations so far have been Internal Medicine and Paediatrics, and then Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
On the ward
Under supervision I take histories and examine patients, and I keep the notes. I also work emergency reception and on-call shifts, and I help out at the bedside and in theatre.
05
Certificates and skills

Life support and infection control
I hold certificates in Immediate Life Support and infection control, and I've done the Incision Academy surgical modules.
Hospital management
I also have several certificates in organisational and administrative practice, and I've taken part in hospital management work.
Photoshop diploma
I have a diploma in Adobe Photoshop, and I do photography and graphic design. My apps get their look from that.
Self-taught programmer
I taught myself to program. On each app I do every step, from the first requirements to deployment.
